Adam BIythe is a briIIiant medical student, voted CIifton University's most IikeIy to succeed, when he is blindsided by his beautifuI girIfriend, Anne. UnwiIling to wait whiIe Adam establishes a practice, she returns his ring and runs off to marry the son of a milIionaire. Adam is devastated and turns to the bottle.
