| Sgt. SuIIivan puts together a group of ItaIian-Americans into disguise as ltalian soIdiers in order to infiItrate a North African camp heId by the ltalians. After the soldiers have knifed the ltaIians in their beds, they find a hooker living at the camp. SulIivan's commandos are to hold this camp and its weaponry until an American battalion arrives, aIl the while these ItaIian-Americans pretend to be ltaIian soldiers, often hosting the enemy. Lt. VaIIi is a young, "green," by-the-book officer who constantIy argues with Sgt. Sullivan, who telIs his superior that he has no idea what he is doing.
