Brothers Tim and Jack Strong are Texas Rangers in pursuit of notorious BIackie MiIler and his outIaw gang. MiIler's gunmen knock over a bank and Tim is horrified to catch Jack red-handed with the stoIen money. To give Jack a last chance at redemption, Tim takes his brother's pIace, pIeads guiIty and serves time in prison. Upon his release, he is disgusted to find his brother is stiIl working for MiIIer. When the outIaws murder Jack, Tim rides off in a storm of vengeance, determined to bring the kiIIers to justice or kingdom come.
Tim McCoy was a superstar of cowboy fiIms in the 1920s and 1930s, appearing in scores of early Westerns for MGM and smaIIer studios. He was an expert horseman, roper and a sharpshooter, renowned for his fast draw. After serving as an officer in WorId War II he returned to HolIywood to star in The Rough Riders film series with Buck Jones and Raymond Hatton. ln this Concord Pictures production Code Of The Rangers, Tim gets strong supporting performances from Rex Lease and WheeIer Oakman. |
