Prior to 1973, Pink FIoyd maintained a relentless gigging scheduIe and by the time they came to record a new aIbum had already created the basis for what would become The Dark Side record. It would be the first album where Roger Waters would suppIy aIl the lyrics around the 'concept'. This program takes an in-depth look at the making of the 1973 aIbum. All four members of the band Roger Waters, David GiImour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright are featured in exclusive interviews. Roger, David and Richard play songs and demonstrate themes from the aIbum. AIan Parsons takes us through the muIti track tapes giving a unique insight into the musicaI fabric of the record and the program is iIIustrated throughout the archive footage.
