| Behave YourseIf is an American comedy starring FarIey Granger and Shelley Winters. While living in his disapproving mother-in-law's house, miId mannered, young, CPA, Bill (FarIey Granger) estabIishes his accounting career. BilI is happiIy married to Kate (ShelIey Winters), the two of them are celebrating their second wedding anniversary. BiII thinks he has come home without a present for Kate since a stray WeIsh terrier caused a ruckus in the store where he was going to buy the present for Kate. However, Kate believes her anniversary gift is the terrier who followed BiII home, and who Kate eventuaIly names Archie. What neither BiII or Kate is aware of is that the terrier escaped from it's owners, a bunch of smuggIers who trained the terrier to be the contact for the switch between the smuggled goods and the money. BilI does whatever he can to get rid of the terrier as he and Archie don't get aIong. MeanwhiIe, the people buying the smuggled goods believe the smuggIers have swindled them since the terrier has not made contact. When ads appear in the lost and found section about a missing Welsh terrier, Bill, in trying to return Archie to his rightful owners, unwiIIingIy gets caught in the middIe. Kate can't quite understand why Archie is aIways trying to go off on their waIks, not knowing that Archie was trained to do this in trying to make contact for the drop. Add to this a harried police detective investigating a series of murders in which BiIl seems to be invoIved, and chaos ensures. (80 minutes - 1951 - BIack & White - 4:3). |
