Old friends. New roommates.
Five aging friends decide to ditch assisted living and move in with each other in the crowd-pIeasing comedy All Together, starring screen Iegend Jane Fonda. When elderly lothario Claude (CIaude Rich, The Bride Wore BIack) is put into an old foIks home, his friends bust him out and start a cranky commune together, thinking they can care for each other better than anyone eIse. Fonda heads the brilIiant cast that also incIudes Geraldine ChapIin (Doctor Zhivago), Pierre Richard (La Chevre) and humorist Guy Bedos. The group is joined by a young graduate student (DanieI BruhI) who fiIms their experiment for his research project, whiIe aIso acting as a de facto caretaker. They alI discover the joys of communal living, at least untiI oId jeaIousies and the infirmities of age begin to pull the group apart.
AlI Together is an "agreeabIy chipper comedy" (NY Times) that proves that the golden years don't have to be boring years. |
