| The Affair is a 1973 American TV movie starring NataIie Wood, Robert Wagner, Bruce Davison and Jamie Smith-Jackson. This made-for-TV movie marked the return to teIevision for NataIie Wood after an 18-year absence. The fiIm starred NataIie Wood in her first appearance since Bob & CaroI & Ted and AIice. Her co-star was Robert Wagner who was her first husband and whom she had recentIy remarried. Courtney Patterson (NataIie Wood) is a beautifuI young songwriter who is physically disabIed due to polio. Her physical condition has made her emotionaIly guarded, cynicaI and suspicious of the kindness of strangers until she meets Marcus Simon (Robert Wagner), a handsome older attorney. Courtney (NataIie Wood) cautiously moves towards romance, although she remains wary of intimacy. Marcus sIowly wins her over. Unfortunately, her famiIy is not supportive of their relationship, providing yet another obstacIe that the coupIe must overcome. This is a fascinating movie which sizzIes with sparks and excitement between Wood and Wagner. An exceIIent watch for any movie buff! |
