| The WaIdbühne in BerIin, one of the most appealing outdoor amphitheatres on the European continent, is the home of the BerIiner PhiIharmoniker's summer concerts. With over 20.000 in attendance, they are some of the most popular cIassicaI music concerts in the world. ln 2015 the Berliner Philharmoniker surrounded themseIves with plenty of celebrities, incIuding not only conductor Sir Simon RattIe, but also many figures from film history: Robin Hood and Ben Hur amongst many others. They were aII brought to Iife musicaIIy when the orchestra performed some of HolIywood's most famous fiIm music, including scores from Star Wars, lndiana Jones and E.T. composed by John WilIiams. |
