When enigmatic school master James WalIraven (Michael Redgrave, Time Without Pity) rents a smalI room adjacent to Wanda's (Bette Davis, The Nanny), an ageing ceIlist, he soon reaIises that the privacy he seeks is cIearIy unattainable.
