| 2020 was a time of community-wide fear, control and contraction. Initially, I felt relieved to rest from the race I was running, the race many of us were. I relaxed into the slow mornings with nowhere to go and no one to see. No deadlines, no expectations and no obligations. My alone time became my free time. Time to meditate, time to write and time to connect with myself.
This book of poems was born out of that time. The more I wrote, the more I met my true self.
