This volume examines closely the differences in measurementsystems with regard to crime incidence. Two independentnational measures of crime incidence, the UCR (The UniformCrime Reports) and the NCS (National Crime Survey), arecompared; as well, their controversy among various fields ofstudy requiring crime incidence statistics is discussed.
