Barbe Anderson is divorced and in a strange relationship with her
ex, a high-powered lawyer with a huge secret. Neither can move
on because they bound by the covenants of their Catholic faith.
That is until she witnesses a shooting and meets a man the
antithesis of her ex. Don Lancini is a vain yet funny straight
shooting cop who does everything by the book until he and Barbe
are forced into hiding for their own protection. Don a lapsed catholic
of Italian extraction has an entirely different view to Barbe.
Set against a background of modern family life in New Zealand
their path is fraught with secrets and issues. Their families and their faith
will never allow them to move on unless Don can show her the
difference between truth and proof.
