Partly inspired by poems and prose by Federico Garcia Lorca, Charles Bukowski, Jose Rivera, John Keats, Paul Auster, Franz Kafka, Allen Ginsberg, James Merrill, Pablo Neruda, James Joyce, Charles Simic and James Tate, the book pushes the boundaries on what a poem can be. At the end, the book includes a surreal short story by the author about a bank cashier who must pass a series of strange tests in order to get a security position that can pay for his dying wife's medical procedure.
