'CB Everett is a master of fiendishly plotted, intelligent mysteries' MARK EDWARDS

A famous author vanished.
His final manuscript has just been found.
And it may be the key to everything.

Ten years after Jonathan Durward disappeared without a trace, his lost novel resurfaces. But instead of the literary masterpiece the world expected, it is a lurid spy thriller: coded, slippery and full of impossible clues.

Asked to annotate the manuscript, Jonathan's closest friend begins to see something buried beneath the clichés - real people, real events, and a truth someone may still be desperate to hide.

Was Jonathan's final book a confession? A warning? Or a trap?

Fiendishly clever and brilliantly twisty, The Final Chapter is a gripping mystery about friendship, identity and the stories that refuse to stay buried.
