When Ursula Lyman Rowe speaks these words to Faith Fair-child from her sickbed in Aleford, Massachusetts, Faith has no idea what lies in store for her.

It all starts when Ursula's daughter, Pix Miller, Faith's best friend and neighbor, leaves town for her son's wedding.
