Life can take some unusual twists and turns and fate can deliver some nasty blows, as evidenced in this thrilling masterpiece, by Douglas Lowell Pemberton. The wheel of Fortune starts out on a downward spin for Linda Angelo, who falls in love with a simple everyday postal employee, DARRICK PRICE JONES, whom she is to KILL for her uncle's Funeral Parlor! Freddieo Rosemont, her uncle, is the "GODFATHER" of a Funeral Parlor Mafia! The Mafia targets Postal Employees who work at the "TERMINAL POST OFFICE, IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA" into signing pre-burial contracts at super discount rates! Once signed, they are eventually murdered, but the Mafia makes it look like an accident, so that their "high life insurance policies" are paid to the beneficiaries! Linda participates in conning the beneficiaries into having exclusive FREDDIEO Rosemont Funerals, for their unfortunate dead beloved ones, price ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 !!! Miraculously, Linda is touched spiritually and has a change of heart! Linda turns against her uncle and his soldiers, called KINGDOM KILLERS! Linda wanting out and having nothing more to do with Mafia Affiliations, she confesses and entrusts in Darrick Price Jones to keep this secret! Linda's desire to start a fresh new life with Darrick is trampled when his bravery and disbelief of Linda's confession is surfaced by his stupidity. Now FREDDIEO ROSEMONT has Darrick and Linda, marked for death by the MAFIA! ONLY FATE HAS THE ANSWER TO DARRICK AND LINDA'S FINAL DESTINY! SLICK IS A THRILLER AND A WILD ROLLER-COASTER RIDE YOU WILL REMEMBER THE REST OF YOUR LIFE! SLICK IS FAST-PACED, GRIPPING, SUSPENSEFUL, FUNNY AND AT TIMES TOUCHING. THE CLIMAX IS BREATH-TAKING! SLICK WILL LEAVE YOU WITH AN ADRENALINE RUSH YOU'LL NEVER FORGET!
