In a near-future settlement on the ragged edge of nowhere, Ailey Esper--archer, loner, drifter--works to gather the true story of a doomed animal activist. But a dark yearly rite, called Fête, is about to happen again, this time funded by a stranger whose plans include Ailey. When a brutal kidnapping rocks the settlement, Ailey must turn to the people around her--a badass herbalist, a historian with a power saw, and a pure-hearted goatkeeper--to help her ride into the midnight fires to save an innocent life.

SHEBANG is a modern fable about love, revenge, and the animal heart that lives inside us all.
