| Kesha is determined to get out of the 'hood and make something of herself. Kesha uses her poetry to stay focused and express her feelings.
Nina, Kesha's older sister, is smart, beautiful, and has a damn good job, but she's in love with the neighborhood drug dealer, Raheem.
Jamal is Raheem's brother, Jamal got out of the drug game and is trying to do something positive with his life. Will Jamal's past life pull him back to his hustling days?
Capri is the new office assistant at Jamal's company. Capri uses her beauty to get what she wants.
Malik is an old-school drug dealer, trying to get out of the game. But the love of money keeps pulling him back in.
This ghetto drama will give you a taste of reality.
"In her latest book, Gwen Cannon introduces us to a new set of characters -- all of whom are trying to get ahead, some by dreaming, some by scheming -- playing out the same old dangerous games. You'll meet mothers and daughters, at odds and trying to reconcile; brothers who betray brothers; and sisters who stand by their siblings. SCANDALOUS is awash in a welter of blackmail and double-cross, steamy, sweaty sex, and sudden violence. Take a read on the wild and steamy side; SCANDALOUS will entertain you so much that it's scandalous!"
