| Maybe if I was a gamer, I would have seen the deathblow coming.
My time was running out when I thought I had unlimited chances to show Gwen how I felt. Like a newbie player, I didn't make the right moves when she was mine. Instead, time proved to be my enemy. Ambushing me, she told me she was moving three hours away for work, and before I can even process what that means, she's gone.
Sidelined from the game, I need to figure out a new strategy, because this wasn't a glitch I saw coming.
It's fine though. I may not be a gamer like she is, but winning her back is the only outcome I'll accept.
Gwen better watch out. I've got a plan for how to move our relationship from a sidequest into the main event, and I'm ready to play. |
