Once again, Ratty and Moley were tasked with saving the day, this time in the face of Sheriff Stoat who was retired and traveling south to visit a relative. They encountered a screech owl named Shriek. Eventually, after some gentle persuading, the two friends convinced Shriek to join them in the jungle in pursuit of the dirty rats. Three rats on an expedition to probe the jungle's depths were waylaid by a tribe of wild creatures known as the Osawatomie, while on their way to explore the jungle. Their pursuit also proved troublesome for Ratty, Moley and Shriek. Still, they continued their search for the escaped gang, as all law-abiding creatures should. But did they bite off more than they could chew this time.
