ONE GOOD THING is a beautiful story that builds on a strong relationship between Anna and Grandpa Bill as he leads her into a deep appreciation of nature and God through a practical joke. A nighttime excursion with a crooked-nose flashlight leads to seeing thousands of spider eyes in the pine straw. The two characters develop through conversation. The joy of shared good things helps Anna deal with Grandpa Bill's death and brings her closer to God. Each page includes beautiful art that helps draw the reader into the story.
