Ribonucleic acid (RNA) is a nucleic acid which plays an integral role in coding, decoding, regulation and expression of genes. Some of the different types of RNA are messenger RNA, non-coding RNA, small chain RNA and long chain RNA. Messenger RNA transmits the information from the DNA to the ribosome.
