| The Midnight Princess, Alana Gregory - the last natural born vampire in the world, has lived a charmed, but dreadfully sheltered life underneath her father's watchful gaze for the first 100 years of her life. After a fate full encounter with the banished wolf prince, Nathan, who suffered the loss of his wife 100 years ago, the pair started an ill-born romance. Following repeated attempts at killing Alana, Jeremiah conceded that not only was she not dangerous to human beings, but was worthy of the love he came to have for her...that same night, Alana lost her friend, lost her brother, and lost her father...
After helping Alana through the loss of her father and brother, Nathan proposed to his angelic love. Soon, the pair tried and failed to get married as Alana was poisoned prior to the wedding. The assassination attempt prompted Nathan to leave Alana for her safety, causing the two to split. Enter New Blood Vampire Angela Price, who unintentionally drove a larger wedge between the pair. This left the door open for the power hungry, upstart Nicholas Faraday, who had designs on Alana.
Nicholas, proving himself to be a murderous villain and the one responsible for Alana's poisoning, and his coven were defeated and driven out of the Chief Magistrate's manor...those who survived anyway. At the same time, Nathan and Angela, having crossed the ocean to Paris after a brief stop in New Orleans, were trying to uncover the cause of Alana's assassination attempt. The pair discovered that a clandestine organization bent on world-domination, En Quosque, was responsible for it all after Angela was forced into a ritual that allowed her to become a daywalker.
Now, reunited...due in no small part to Angela's efforts...Nathan and Alana have decided to give it another try, moving forward with their engagement and marriage. As Alana and Nathan make preparations for their pending nuptials, Angela settles into her new roles as the Chief Magistrate's assistant, as well as being her newest sire-daughter. Everything seems to be going well, despite Angela's growing feelings toward her best friend, Nathan.
What secret has Alana been keeping from Nathan? Angela has been feeling watched lately, but by who? Will En Quosque rise to tear the happy couple apart again?
