The building business relies heavily on materials management. As there are many Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME's) having more clients but lacking in getting benefits from material management techniques which will make their organization work efficiently. The study includes analysis of current practices of material management on a construction project and of inventory control techniques for selected construction project. It also includes comparison among theoretical material management to practical material management in small and medium-sized enterprises, using two construction projects for the study.
