    Inhalt:
It is 1941 two years into the war and things in Ireland are unsettled and stark. Shamus in London meets with American intelligence that is putting pressure on Ireland to open its ports to Allied shipping. Sally and Janet room together - after the show - Sally returns to find their building demolished and on fire from German bombings. She is forced to seek shelter with Shamus. Seeing how life is so fragile now, they decide to marry straight away the next day. Bethany declares his love for Siobhan but sends her away back to Dublin for her own good. Rory worried about Shamus and Sally takes the ferry over to London, shocked to find they are living together, until they explain. German submarines are regularly sailing undetected hiding in the Irish coastline being a meanness to American supply vessels bringing much needed relief to Ireland and the UK. Bethany with three constables search for a hidden cove where they are looking for a German vessel supplying ammunition to the submariners as they need replenishing for attacks. Now trained in arms - pistols and rifles - the Eire police close in to an inevitable firefight not just with the German sailors but IRA men supporting them. More young Irish men are crossing the channel to join the British Army. Many married men also leaving the land to find work in British factories for the money to send home to struggling families. Many will never return.
