The book examines the various factors that have contributed to the violation of human rights in the state and compares it with Hosseini¿s portrayal of human rights abuse to see the resemblances between the two. The comparison assists us to understand the realistic portrayal of Afghanistan by Hosseini as he is often condemned by the critics and readers for viewing the country with a western perspective. He is often accused of writing about the black history of the state to impress the western readers. The book will assist the researchers to critically evaluate the representation of human rights violations by Hosseini and assimilate its repercussions on the development of the country.
