    Fairy tale romance and marriage born out of the ashes of WWII in Belgium JITTERBUG AND THE WAR BRIDE A GREAT LOVE STORY In Jitterbug and the War Bride, the writer shares about the romantic, fairytale romance and marriage of his parents, Jake and Felicia Teel, which was born out of the ashes of World War Two, in Belgium. Jake was born and grew up in central Alabama during the Depression. He was raised much like an orphan after his mother died when he was nine years old. When he was Nineteen years old and working at the Munitions plant in Childersburg, Alabama, he joined the Army. The Japanese had attacked Pearl Harbor and he and his two brothers, joined up. Uncle Van and Uncle Harold served with the Navy, and after training as a Combat engineer, Jake was sent to Europe. Felicia was born in France to polish parents, and at the age of two moved to Belgium along with her family. Her Father, a World War One Polish veteran, worked as a coal miner. He died of alcohol poisoning in Nineteen Forty-two. Her brother, Henry, was forced to work in the Labor camps in Germany. Her older sister, Irene, lived in Luxemburg. Felicia and her younger sister, Stephanie, sold flowers, picked mushrooms to sell, and later worked in a Glass factory to help support their family. In nineteen forty-five, in Brussels, she was employed as a Nanny by a Jewish couple, who were both Medical doctors. Then she met Jitterbug, and love was born. About the Author Joe Teel Jr. is a Spirit filled Pastor of The Rendezvous (The Meeting Place), a non denominational Church, and Water of Life Ministries in Sylacauga, Alabama. He is a fifth degree black Belt, and founder and director of Yucando Aerobic Kickboxing Association. He has served as Chaplain in the American Legion and Vietnam Veterans of America. He is a member of the 101st and 82nd Airborne Division Associations, the Static Line, 20th Special Forces Society, and the D.A.V. Joe served on active duty with the 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam in Nineteen Sixty-seven and eight, and the 82nd Airborne Division in Nineteen Sixty-eight and nine at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Then he served in the 20th Special Forces Group, Alabama National Guard in Nineteen Seventy-nine and eighty. He has also authored an auto-biography entitled, "Welcome Home Joe", that depicted his struggle with drugs while in Vietnam, and his experience with the call of God on his life into the Ministry of Jesus Christ.
