    Inhalt:
The present monograph deals with electroluminescence (EL) and related properties in certain oxide and sulphide phosphors. Bulk as well as nano powders of the phosphors have been used for investigation. Related properties include study of photoconductivity (PC) and photoelectret (PE)characteristics. Study of EL properties have been made to explore the EL characteristics and conditions of maximum EL in polycrystalline bulk as well as nano phosphor powders. The PC properties of mixed lattices have been thoroughly studied to determine the nature and distribution of traps and recombination centers, rise and decay and various other parameters. The photoelectret characterizations have been studied to explore the photo polarization characteristics and conditions of maximum polarization in mixed lattices of certain polycrystalline inorganic compounds. The base materials used have been ZnO, ZnS, CdS, Se, Pb3O4 and their mixed lattices which have been selected because of wide difference in their energy gaps ranging from ultraviolet to red region. The band gap of mixed lattice depends upon the relative percentage of the base materials.
