My lineage extends to Sam Houston through the Paxton family. Jasper Lafayette Snellins', my dad, my side of the family tree extends upward to Thomas and Elizabeth (McLung) Paxton. Thomas (my 5th Great Grandfather) and Sam Houston's Grandfather (John Paxton) were brothers.
