It is a tantalizing job to teach the bilingual students to pass the English Regents Examination and the College Writing Test because they only have 2 or 3 years of ESL background that is equivalent to the 4th grade English proficiency level in the elementary school. No matter how well organized and authentic an essay is written in the test, 2 or 3 major structural errors may lead to disqualification of the paper.
