| Messiah, by George Frideric Handel, is a biblical overview of salvation history. As perhaps the most widely-known musical work in the classical repertoire, it is unique in that the entire oratorio consists of quotations from Scripture, designed to do nothing less than tell the story of the world's redemption through Jesus the Messiah.
