He's a trained killer, but he's found his one weakness.

The moment Jasper Walker hears Emily Jenkins' sultry voice, it's like a punch to the gut. An instant and heated reaction that winds its way through his heart and warms his skin. Then he hears the one word capable of breaking that electrifying connection: "son." That one word rocks his world sideways, triggering his "hell no" reaction-for reasons he keeps imprisoned in the darkest corner of his soul. A secret this highly trained, tier-one assassin conceals behind a reputation for blowing through women a week at a time-no matter how sweetly they beg for more.

After losing her husband on the battlefield, Emily was left to pick up the pieces of her broken heart while raising her son alone. She can see why women with a weakness for high-octane, Special Forces soldiers flock to men like Jasper. It'd be madness to let herself fall for him...but she can't deny she's tempted.

When their lives collide, Jasper discovers there's more to this black-haired beauty than meets the eye. And he finds himself willing to risk everything-even battle against his darkest memories-to save Emily and her child.
