Five Pennies in Grandpa's Pocket and Other Short Stories is a collection of short stories appropriate for children of middle elementary to middle school age. "Abdiel" and "The Twelve Mourning Doves of Christmas" have the Christmas season as their focus. "Abdiel" relates the story of a lamb present at the birth of Jesus. "The Twelve Mourning Doves of Christmas" is the story of a little girl's Christmas miracle.
