Finding Hope is a fantasy that finds magic in even the smallest things.
Hope Wood wakes up one morning feeling like a normal 18-year-old. But is she really a normal girl? After an unexpected jolt, Hope is knocked out. When she wakes up, she is not alone. A woman in a purple cloak appears with a glowing ball of light. "You are at an age you can now embrace your gifts," the woman says. She bends down and kisses Hope's forehead. Afterward, the woman and the ball of light disappear.
Hope finds herself in a forest with a strange batch of beings that are not at all afraid of her. She discovers many things, including that to find peace, you must follow your heart. She finally begins to believe that magic is real after all.

K.M. Buckland lives in Berkshire, England, not far from Stonehenge, "where my fascination with magic began and evolved." She began writing Finding Hope when she was ill. "My inspiration or my theory of an immortal soul and the opportunity to be reborn to save the magical world, is from watching those who are still recovering from terrible illnesses." She imagines another existence where illnesses can be cured. "For the magical world to help the humans, they need to find trust in them again and restore the balance that existed when the ancients walked the earth."
