Dr. Michael Roberts is a college English professor and writer-in-residence in Myrtle Beach, SC. He is author of 14 books, including works of poetry, nonfiction, historical fiction, and novels. He lectures around the country at national conventions on subjects ranging from literary criticism to the lingering aftermath of the Civil. He is a former M-1 tank crewman with the Army National Guard. Dr. Roberts is the father of two adult daughters, Cayce and Kathryn, whom he cites as his writing inspiration. In his spare time, he likes to visit Civil War battlefields, forts, and cemeteries around the country.
