It will also include the new GUI for the CVIP MATLAB® Toolbox. The expansion of the chapter on application development will help the reader in using the concepts in the book in real world engineering applications. In addition to a step-by-step tutorial on this type of development, I will include recent applications that have been developed with the software. These will provide insight to the reader who is dealing with difficult imaging problems. They will be useful for both research and industry. The second volume, Image Enhancement, Restoration and Compression, will focus on the topics needed for human vison based systems development. It will feature more examples, more exercises and new algorithms. It will also include the new GUI for the CVIP MATLAB®Toolbox. The expansion of the applications-oriented discussion throughout the book will help the reader in using the concepts in the book in real world engineering applications.
