To truly understand the humanity they are destined to guide, the mages are instructed to marry mortal women. Supramati weds the devoted Olga, while Dakhir marries and heals the dying American heiress Edith. Dakhir and Edith retreat to the mountains to heal the sick and convert the poor, bringing light to the forgotten masses. However, their earthly happiness is threatened when Chiran abducts Olga, dragging her to a fortified demonic stronghold in Palestine. In a breathtaking climax, Supramati, Dakhir, and an army of the Knights of the Grail launch a radiant siege against the forces of hell to save her.
Even as they triumph, tragedy strikes, and the mages must face the heartbreaking reality of outliving their mortal loves as Olga's fragile body succumbs to the intense magical energies.
