| Alyah Marie aka Hoops is the straight-A student in Mr. Leroy's 5th-grade class. She's admired by most of her classmates and adored by the teachers at Elite Public Charter School. Everyone seems to have a plan for Alyah's bright future but there's just one problem. She doesn't want to be a lawyer or a doctor like the grown-ups all suggest.
