| When Jack Redman travels north to collect an inheritance left to him by an uncle he never knew his sole intention is to pay his last respects and then return home. But the isolated coastal village of Broken Cross enchants him and when he meets Katherine Thorne, a mutual attraction rapidly becomes something more serious. As he slowly becomes drawn into a community who value tradition and loyalty above all else, he finds that the past as well as the future can be dangerous places.
