Breach is a collection of poems that recalls the poet's struggles with abuse and the ravages of the eating disorder that developed as a result. In these poems she explores the complex psychological repercussions of physical violation and isolation and how the combination of the two impact the development of individual identity. The poems take an unflinching look at what it means to be in human relationships and what it means to fall short of connection.
