This monograph constitutes a comprehensive overview of BBB permeability changes and related damaging sequelae asscociated with subarachnoid haemorrhage. Despite improvements in the surgical and clinical management patients still experience an unacceptably high morbidity and mortality linked to the presence of subarachnoid blood.
