| Success in the NFL came early and often for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. In 2004, Ben was named the NFL Rookie of the Year, and the next season he became the youngest quarterback ever to win the Super Bowl. Though he was proud of these accomplishments, Ben knew some other things were more important--like helping others and changing lives. To pursue these objectives, he decided in 2006 to start the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation, an organization that strives to help communities by purchasing service dogs for police and fire departments across the country. In Ben Roethlisberger, kids will follow Ben's amazing football career and also discover how he has made a difference in people's lives off the field through his charity work. Large, full-color action photos and engaging text will keep readers turning the pages for more. Ben Roethlisberger is part of Bearport's Football Heroes Making a Difference series. |
