Let's begin! Lightly close your eyes (they don't have to be forced shut tight) and breathe slowly, deeply. Inhale and exhale, focusing your energy only on breathing deeply. Now, imagine yourself in a completely calm state. Feel your body relax completely, notice any remaining tension in your limbs and try to relieve that stress through the deep breathing. As you continue the deep breathing, imagine what environment would allow you to be calm and peaceful. What sights make you feel calm? What smells or sounds bring you peace? Try to hold these images or other senses in your mind to improve your calm demeanor. As your mind obtains these calming images, sounds, or smells; focus on the calm state that you have allowed yourself to experience. Continue your deep breathing, and recognize the relaxation that your body is currently experiencing. Consider how it would be possible for you to incorporate this sense of calm and peace into your daily life. How nice it would be for you to experience this every day.
