Atlantic Childhoods in Global Contexts explores the ways in which childhood was imagined and the experiences of the young were shaped under colonialism in Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, and India. The essays also explore the ways in which the interplay of Atlantic and Global dynamics influenced young people's daily lives, as well as the discourses that were used to articulate concerns about young people in colonial contexts.
