A man of the sea, Alex Gregory is living the dream. Working on the K¿oa feels more like a permanent vacation than a real job. However, not long after the guests arrive, things begin to go wrong. The sea becomes unsafe as the first of the man-of-wars arrive on the scene. Physalia physalis, 10 to 30 centimeters long, not including their stinging tentacles, their stings are powerful but seldom deadly.
Just when Alex thinks things can't get any worse, they get far, far worse when an unimaginable menace finds them. Physalia Maximus, Man-of-war Supreme. Two to three meters in size, this never before seen species is not bound to the sea, the land, or the air.
They are calculating, vicious, and ravenous.
