In rural Oklahoma, a young Animortal known as Little Bear is taken from his reservation after a deadly incident and pulled into a widening conflict involving Government forces, rogue Animortal factions, and others who can control animal systems across entire regions. As his abilities grow beyond known limits, animal networks across counties begin to react, turning the natural world into part of the conflict.

Hunted by Government agents and targeted by opposing Animortal forces, Little Bear is forced to navigate a collapsing system of control, survival, and rising power that spreads far beyond his original understanding.
