| This book presented and thoroughly explained a group of new earthquake prediction methods, seismic wave methods, and discussed their application in forecasting future earthquakes and significance in promoting seismic research. In the seismic wave methods, the future earthquakes are predicted based on the information carried by the seismic waves. In this book, the authors gave in-depth discussion of different seismic wave parameters and explained their significance in earthquake prediction. The authors also developed the method of early judgments of the earthquake trends after the main shock; the method to predict the strong aftershock; and the method to determine the rupture characteristics of small and medium earthquakes.
