Fuzzy image processing is the collection of all approaches that understand, represent and process the images, their segments and features as fuzzy sets. Edge detection is a terminology in image processing that refers to algorithms which aim at identifying edges in an image. It is encountered in the areas of feature selection and feature extraction in Computer Vision. An edge detector accepts a digital image as input and produces an edge map as output.
