| In this book we look at how parents accompany their children in school. Nowadays, some parents have been monitoring their children's school life, proving to be good role models and sources of inspiration, but unfortunately, many parents still do the opposite, citing lack of time, being busy with work and the hustle and bustle of everyday life, among other justifications, placing the responsibility for monitoring their children on the school. On the other hand, many situations that happen at school that affect students go unnoticed by parents due to a lack of monitoring or frequent visits to the school. The aim of this study was to understand how parents monitor their children's school life. In developing the study, we used a qualitative approach that allowed us to analyse the situation in greater depth. We concluded that the support of parents in their children's school life is extremely important, because it contributes to the student's desirable academic performance and strengthens the school/family relationship. |
