Everyone's always telling Will to stop humming, singing and making so much noise. That is, until he meets music teacher Mr Brand. Will's not noisy, Mr Brand explains, he has a gift - a remarkable ear for music - and he absolutely must learn to play the violin.
But Will can never find peace to practise at home, and the only space at school is in a broom cupboard. Then there's the small matter of his stage fright ...
